Preen Resort 2011

I like to class myself as an open-minded follower of fashion; constantly evolving with every seam overlocked. Browsing through the Resort 2011 collections though underwhelmed me and even Chanel had me doubting the direction that fashion is taking. Then came Preen. Simple designs in monochromatic colours highighted with bold pieces; a combination which always wins me over.

An unlikely combination

It's not often that you associate McDonald's with the fashion industry. Traditionally a fast-food restaurant with a menu well rehearsed by people of a lower socio-economic background (and the alcohol fuelled), McDonald's have attempted to market their (deliciously) horrible products to the fashion conscious. The concept has been launched at Fashion Weeks dotted all over the globe but I wonder how many of the fashion industry's finest would have dared enter. Does marketing really sway us that much? YES! I want a Big Mac!

J.Crew Men's

It's hard to focus your attention on the garments when your palms are getting sweaty from the vision of wood cabins in the French alps with any of these men in the proposed picture.

Length, layers and ladies

No better way to cover up that extra layer of warmth so lovingly (or resentfully) piled on over winter.

There's something about you

I love a good editorial. Really, I do. It has the capability of inspiring (not to mention intimidating) the reader just enough to feel that elating rise of motivation until the magazine is closed again some minutes later. This woman though, is enough to make you want to run out the door in your most fashionable attire and chase down every potential networker in your city. Camille Bidault-Waddington is a professional stylist who has turned her talent to both photography and styling for this AnOther editorial.

Looking over and out

There is something so reassuring about staring out of a window into a bigger picture; extending beyond the problems that stare you straight in the face.

Girl crush of the month (potentially year)

Bambi Northwood Blyth-whose eyebrows make me want to cry with both joy and jealousy.
